WATCH: Chloe Rose discusses her charity single 'For Me'

June 2024 · 2 minute read

We recently introduced you to Chloe Rose, the 16 year old singer who’s releasing her debut single ‘For Me’ today. However, this single isn’t any old single – all proceeds from the upbeat track will go to The Wayne Rooney Foundation, in aid of NSPCC and ChildLine.

The Wayne Rooney Foundation was recently formed by footballer Wayne Rooney as a means of giving something back, and building a lasting legacy to inspire and improve the lives of children and young people. The Foundation will run events, such as Wayne’s recent testimonial match, to raise vital funds to support the work of a number of children’s charities, including NSPCC and ChildLine.

Chloe was chosen by ChildLine to record the official single to commemorate 30 years of the service. ChildLine is a free, confidential service available to anyone under 19 in the UK who needs help with any issues, big or small. A team of trained counsellors are available on the phone, via email or through a 1-2-1 counsellor chat on their website. ChildLine was launched in 1986 and later joined forces with NSPCC in 2006 in order to help even more young people. The work they do has proven to be invaluable for young people like Chloe over the years.

Having recently interviewed Chloe about the single, she also filmed a short video for us explaining her involvement with the charities. Chloe revealed that she was approached by ChildLine to record the official single after previously doing a video for the Anti Bullying Alliance. It’s great to see that Chloe is such a positive role model for her peers, and is continuing to spread the importance of supporting such charities.

The video even includes a message from Wayne Rooney, who emphasises how important it is for ChildLine’s work to continue for another 30 years and more.

ChildLine’s been there for a generation of kids, now it needs to be there for the next generation too

Check out the video below.
