According to multiple reports, Ricky Martin’s family is continuing to expand. On Saturday, before the audience at the 23rd annual Human Rights Campaign National Dinner in Washington DC, Ricky claimed he and his husband, Jwan Yosef, were gearing up to have another child through surrogacy.

Martin was at the event with his man as well as two of their three kids, including Matteo and Valentino, who are 11-year-old twins. The “Livin’ Da Vida Loca” singer said that his “family (was) here,” adding that he loves his family and husband.

Fans of Martin know that he’s been quite outspoken in his support for LGTBQ rights as well as other philanthropic causes. The president of the association, Alphonso David, said in a statement that Ricky has used his “international stage” to help LGBTQ people all over the globe.

It was back in January of 2018 when Ricky and his man got married. On the 10th of January, Ricky revealed that he and Jwan Yosef had tied the knot. The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story alum said to reporters from E! News at that time that he and Josef were gearing up to throw an epic party in celebration.

According to Martin, both parties agreed to sign a prenuptial agreement and they signed all of the necessary papers. Ricky, 46, and Yosef, 33, first began their relationship near the ending of 2016 when they were together on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

During his time on Ellen’s eponymous show, Ricky admitted that Jwan was living with him and he was a “conceptual artist.” One evening, Ricky and Jwan were together at an event and Ricky was looking at his artwork, and it was over his creations that the pair began feeling an intense connection for each other.

Recently, Ricky enjoyed a relatively positive critical reception for his portrayal of Gianni Versace in the aforementioned production, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: An American Crime Story. Ricky spoke with the host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah, and explained Gianni’s identity struggle, including his balance between influence, respect, and power, in conjunction with his homosexuality.
